Yamy Privacy Policy

Effective Date: November 6, 2025
Scope: This Privacy Policy describes how Yamy ("Yamy," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information about individuals in the United States who use our websites, applications, and related services (the "Services"). The Services are intended for use in the United States.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from service providers acting on our behalf.

  • Identifiers & Contact Info: name, email address (e.g., when you save preferences or contact us).
  • Device/Network Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, device identifiers (e.g., mobile advertising IDs and other unique device IDs), app version, language, and settings.
  • Usage Data: pages or screens viewed, features used, clicks, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Location Data: coarse location (e.g., city/state) inferred from IP address.
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: small files and SDKs used to operate the site/app, maintain sessions, prevent fraud, and understand aggregate usage.

We do not collect payment card data directly; any payments are handled by third-party processors.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the Services (including troubleshooting, debugging, and fraud prevention).
  • Personalize content and menu recommendations and improve user experience.
  • Analyze usage to improve features and develop new products.
  • Communicate about Service updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • Comply with law, protect rights, and enforce terms.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use targeted advertising.

3. Cookies & Tracking

  • Essential cookies (required): maintain sessions, load balancing, security, and basic preferences. These do not require a consent banner.
  • Non-essential analytics: if enabled, we will list the provider(s) here and offer an opt-out within the app settings or a cookie banner. By default, Yamy does not use marketing/advertising cookies.

4. Disclosure of Information

We disclose information to:

  • Service Providers: hosting, storage, analytics, communications, and customer support, under contracts restricting use to the Services.
  • Legal & Safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect Yamy, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: as part of mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales (your information may be transferred as permitted by law).

We do not allow service providers to use personal information for their own marketing.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify information in accordance with our retention schedules.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your US State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state (e.g., California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah), you may have rights to:

  • Access/Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete personal information we collected.
  • Opt out of sales or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell/share in this way, but you can still submit a request).
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive info for inferring characteristics).

To exercise rights, email privacy requests to andrey@yamy.ai and include "Privacy Request" in the subject. We will verify your request as required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.

Notice to California Residents (Summary): We collect the categories listed above for the purposes stated, disclose to service providers for business purposes, do not sell or share personal information, and do not profile for decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn a child under 16 has provided personal information, we will delete it.

9. International Use

The Services are operated in the United States and intended for U.S. users. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.
